Have you been receiving SMS messages telling you that you have a new voice mail and giving you unusual links? Be cautious. It could be a virus! Reports show that thousands of Australians have already been targeted by the Flubot malware phone scam.
Try not to click on links while you’re busy doing something else. If you do get the text messages, don’t click on them, block the numbers and delete the message. Another thing, if you get messages from people complaining that you sent links which you did not know about, remind them as well to not click on them, and delete the message.
Note that if you click on the link, it will install malware onto your device, and once installed, it can then steal your passwords, have access to credit card details and personal information, and capture other information.
